Tourism Minister Arief Yahya said he was proud of Bali was chosen as one of the world's best island. The coronation of a survey conducted by renowned travel magazine from the United States (US) Travel + Leisure at the end of 2015.

Based on Travel + Leisure Magazine, centered New York City, the rank order of the best island in the world is Galpagos Islands, Ecuador (score: 90.82), Bali, Indonesia (score: 88.98), Maldives (score: 88.53) , Tasmania, Australia (score: 88.32), Santorini, Greece (score: 87.93).
Meanwhile, the rank order of the best island in Asia magazine that is Bali, Indonesia (score: 88.98), Maldives (score: 88.53), and Phuket, Thailand (value: 79.22).
Looking ahead, the Minister Arief said it will promote other tourist destinations in Indonesia that is not less beautiful with Bali.
"We must be sure our tourism potential is very great, for destinations, snorkeling, dive travel beauty even the famous Galapagos, we've managed to defeat. No half-hearted even by our two destinations namely Rajaampat and Komodo Island," he said.
Travel + Leisure is a monthly travel magazine based in New York with 4.8 million readers published by Time Inc. The magazine is a strong competitor Cond Nast Traveler and National Geographic Traveler.
